Department of Sociology at the University of Linz, Austria/Europe and wrote
my doctoral thesis on tourism and indigenous cultural traditions including a
case study in the Caribbean (Barbados) (Kulturdiskurse. Zum Verhaeltnis von
Tourismus und indigener Kultur. Waxmann, Muenster/New York 1994). My
research interest is - besides sociology of culture and tourism - also the
sociology of work and everyday life.
