: La prochaine journée du "Chemin de la Mémoire" aura lieu le samedi 25
janvier 2003.L'inscription est à 250 Gourdes par personne.La date limite
des inscriptions est fixée au samedi 18 janvier. La journée commencera à
7:00 a.m., au local de DOA/BN : Delmas 50, #10 (tél. 260-0813,
246-0477). La première partie du programme étant une visualisation
guidée en groupe, nous ne pourrons malheureusement pas prendre les
retardataires. Nous terminerons vers 2:00 pm. Prévoyez des moments
prolongés en plein soleil, et une montée de morne à pied d'environ 40
minutes. Une légère collation sera offerte. Qu'est-ce que le "Chemin de
la Mémoire" ? C'est une expérience qui vous permettra de revivre une
partie de l'histoire, en avant-première de l'ouverture du "Village
Mémoire", encore en phase d'élaboration par la Fondation "N a Sonje".
Le programme se déroulera sur une demi-journée, en 3 étapes principales
: 1- L'Afrique ancestrale.Nous voyagerons ensemble, en imagination, pour
retourner en Afrique, au temps des Ancêtres, avant la colonisation. 2-
L'esclavage.Nous revivrons l'expérience des esclaves africains et
créoles. Une petite chaîne vous sera attachée à la cheville et nous
irons sur les lieux d'une ancienne habitation coloniale sucrière dans la
commune de Croix-des Bouquets. 3- Marronage et Liberté.Nous
emprunterons, à pied, un petit chemin de morne, pour arriver à un
village ayitien traditionnel, où nous célébrerons notre liberté. Et
puis nous nous asseyerons ensemble pour commenter l'expérience. Nous
espérons que cela pourra servir de thérapie pour les nombreux malaises
et déséquilibres que notre société traîne toujours depuis l'époque de

: The next "Road of Memory" will be held on Saturday, January 25,
2003.Registration is at 250 Gourdes per person.Limit date of
registration : Saturday, January 18. The program will start at 7:00 am,
at DOA/BN's place : Delmas 50, #10 (ph. 260-0813, 246-0477). The first
part of the program being a group guided visualization, we won't be able
to take late comers. We will end around 2:00 pm. You should expect to
have to stand under the sun for extended periods of time, as well as an
ascending mountain hike, for around 40 minutes. A light snack will be
offered. What is the "Road of Memory" ? It is an experience of reliving
a part of history, to give you a foretaste of what will be offered in
the "Memory Village" currently under elaboration by the "N a Sonje"
Foundation. The program will take half a day. There are 3 main parts
: 1- Ancestral Africa.We will travel together, in imagination, back to
Africa, during the ancestral times, before colonization. 2- Slavery.We
will relive the experience of the african and creole slaves. A small
chain will be tied to your ankle and we will go to and visit the site of
an ancient colonial sugar plantation in the area of
Croix-des-Bouquets. 3- Marroons and Liberty.We will talk a walking path
up the hills to arrive to a traditional haitian village, where we will
celebrate our liberty. Then we will sit together to debrief the
experience. Our hope is that this will serve as a therapy for the many
illnesses and imbalances that have been plaguing our society since the
times of slavery.
