Dear Nicole
Thanks for your interest in community tourism. Our company Countrystyle is
one of the leading pioneers of community tourism internationally as I
developed the concept with my family when I was much younger (in the early
sixties) and pioneered a dynamic programme which includes a Foundation
dedicated to community tourism development called the Sustainable
Communities Foundation through Tourism (SCF).
I am attaching information on the SCF 1st IIPT Caribbean Community Tourism
Conference which will be held from May 23 -26 2003 with a Trade Show for
Community tourism. This would be a great opportunity for you to learn about
community tourism and we would be delighted to have a delegation from
Barbados and other Caribbean islands. We would love to hear from others if
you are interested in attending the conference. We are now registering
persons. The programme will also include a panel discussion on whether the
Caribbean is ready for Eco-tourism and what needs to be done.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Diana
PS Anyone interested in being a member of the IIPT Caribbean chapter and the
IIPT Community Tourism Network - please let me know. I am the President of
the IIPT Caribbean chapter and Co-coordinator of the IIPT Community Tourism
network (which involves over 70 countries)
